Sign-in and invoicing
Secure login, company accounts and the first invoice flow.

SafiBook is a business accounting platform for small and medium-sized businesses in East Africa. Invoices, payments, expenses, stock and payroll all land in one double-entry ledger. So the reports a bank asks for come straight out of daily work.
SafiBook started as invoicing software. Invoices went out and customers paid them, but a paid invoice never became a ledger entry. So revenue and expenses always looked too low, staff typed every payment twice, and no balance sheet would satisfy a lender.
A paid invoice never became a ledger entry, so revenue and expenses always looked too low.
Staff entered every payment again as revenue or expense. That was slow, and easy to get wrong.
The dashboard added up totals on the spot. There was no general ledger behind them.
There was no balance sheet or cash flow statement that a lender would accept.
We turned it into a business accounting platform with a real general ledger underneath. Now, when a customer pays an invoice, the platform writes a balanced journal entry at once. Revenue and expenses come from the invoices, OCR reads supplier bills, and stock and payroll tie back to the same ledger.
When a customer pays an invoice, the platform writes a balanced journal entry right away. It handles reversed payments too.
Revenue and expenses come straight from the invoices. Meanwhile, OCR reads paper bills from suppliers.
Chart of accounts, journal entries, trial balance and period close, all from one ledger.
Balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow statement, straight from the ledger.
We shipped invoicing first so businesses could start early. After that came accounting, stock and payroll, one module at a time, and each one ties back to the same ledger.
Secure login, company accounts and the first invoice flow.
Permissions for six roles, and national ID checks through NIRA in Uganda.
Quotations, declining a received invoice, invoice financing and WhatsApp messages.
Next, paid invoices began posting to the ledger, along with bulk payments and accounts for several banks.
OCR for scanned bills, shareholders and equity, purchase orders, supplier bills, opening balances and month-end close.
Finally, stock from supplier invoices, daily usage, salary advances and salary statements as PDF.
SafiBook runs at safibook.com with invoicing, accounting, stock and payroll in one platform. A balance sheet, a profit and loss statement and a cash flow statement come straight from the ledger. Businesses also send invoices by email or WhatsApp, and they can sell an invoice when they cannot wait for payment.
